AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL 1996
CALL FOR ENTRIES
This year Amnesty international's film festival will take place in
Amsterdam during the second half of September. The competetive festival
will present a selection of:
FEATURE FILMS, DOCUMENTARIES
&
EXPERIMENTAL- AND MULTI-MEDIA PROJECTS.
A monetary award of $5000,- will be presented to the director of the work
that best adresses a theme within the festival.
ALL FILMS AND VIDEOS MUST ADDRESS ONE OF THE FOLLOWING THEME'S
-Capital punishment
-Sexual orientation and human rights
-Refugees
-Human rights in China, with a special emphasis on human rights and
economic development
-Freedom of speech and freedom of religion
-Children, youth and human rights
INTERACTIVE AND MULTI-MEDIA WORKS SHOULD ADDRESS HUMAN RIGHTS IN THE
GENERAL MEANING OF THE TERM.
Sample tapes of completed works or work-in progress on VHS, BETACAM or
U-Matic format on NTSC, SECAM or PAL can be submitted.
Deadline 10 May 1996
You ay submit a broad variety of new media applications such as CD-Roms,
WWW sites, (Interactive) installations, and if appropriate databases.
